PDF Pro Software Inc. ("PDF Pro", "We", "Us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy applies to our website, our desktop applications for Windows and macOS, and our online tools.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

We collect data through several channels:

• Account & Billing: Email, name, and subscription status. Payment processing is handled by Stripe.
• License Management: LicenseSpring tracks software entitlements and product versioning.
• Support & Troubleshooting: * Voluntary Submissions: Sample PDFs provided to help us troubleshoot issues.
  • Crash Reports: Optional diagnostic reports including system specs and (if opted-in) the active document.
• Technical Logging: Sentry monitors website and desktop app stability.
• Internal Project Management: To resolve bugs and manage support tickets, your account information or support history may be processed within our project management tools, including Teamwork and Google Drive.
• Marketing & Analytics: Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Bing Ads. Archbee for documentation telemetry.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DOCUMENTS

• Free Online Tools: Documents uploaded to our web tools are processed transiently. They are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours of your session expiring.
• Support Documents: Sample files sent to our support team or via crash reports are used strictly for debugging. These are deleted once the support ticket is resolved unless otherwise requested.

3. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

PDF Pro is headquartered in British Columbia, Canada. Data is transferred to:

• United States: AWS, Stripe, Sentry, Zendesk/HelpScout, Teamwork, and Google (Google Drive).
• Croatia (EU): Technical maintenance via our partner, LostHex.
• Philippines: Customer support operations.

4. LEGAL BASIS & RETENTION

We process data based on Contractual Necessity (to provide the service) and Legitimate Interest (to improve software stability). We retain account data for the life of your subscription plus a period required for tax/legal compliance.

5. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR, CCPA, & PIPA)

Depending on your location, you have the right to access, delete, or port your data. You may also "Opt-Out" of the sale/sharing of your information for advertising. To exercise these rights, contact our support portal.
